Faith is our F1 Goldendoodle female.

At Double M we believe that every dog deserves to have a loving, forever home with as much attention given as possible. Our dogs are part of our family and live in our home and spoiled, which because of this we have decided to offer a Guardian Home Program.

You might ask now, What is a Guardian Home? A Guardian home is a permanent forever home with someone other than the breeder, while the breeder has all breeding rights still on the dog.

Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to have one of our health tested "Pick of the Litter" puppies as a family pet. Double M will own ALL breeding rights and when their breeding career is complete we will spay/neuter the dog at our expense and return them after they are fully healed.

As a Guardian Home you will be required to pay for the everyday expenses of owning a puppy including annual exams, grooming, vaccines, food, etc. We will pay for all breeding related costs including health testing and spay/neuter when breeding term is completed.

Becoming a Guardian Home is not for everyone. You MUST be willing and able to follow these requirements:

  • Sign our contract.

  • Live within two hours from us and be willing to meet half way or bring the dog to us.

  • Have previous experience with dogs.

  • Be willing to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay-down, and leave it.

  • Be willing to socialize the dogs as this is very important.

  • They must be an indoor dog and never left unattended outside.

  • Feed a premium, quality food.

  • All other dogs in the home MUST be fixed if they are the opposite sex.

  • Provide regular exercise.

  • Willing to let us visit your home.

  • Contact us immediately in the event of a serious illness or accident.

  • Send a copy of all vet visits to us.

  • Must not allow the dog to mate with any other dogs.

  • Provide veterinary care annually and/or when needed.

  • If you are a guardian for a female dog, you must be willing to drop her off for 1-2 weeks while she is bred. Then drop her back off 2 weeks prior to her whelping date. She will stay with us until the puppies are weaned when we will return her home to you.

  • If you are a guardian for a male dog, you must be willing to drop him off for 1-2 weeks for breedings .

  • Be able to communicate with us, the breeder, about scheduling testing, mating, whelping, and anything else breeding related.

We are currently looking for a guardian home for an AKC silver standard poodle we have and an f1 goldendoodle sometime this spring/summer.
